Stress Busting Foods
Excess and prolonged stress can contribute to what’s known as a “stress belly”. This is the amount of fat you hold in your belly called visceral fat.
To help reduce this, you need to combat your stress levels (that's a no-brainer), but this can be challenging.
However you can select certain foods, rather than reaching for the junk foods (which is what we crave when we're stressed), and fill your fridge with healthy choices.
These foods will help you in times of stress:
Magnesium Foods (whole grains, bananas, pumpkin seeds, dark chocolate)
Leafy Greens (spinach, kale)
Fermented Foods (kimchi, sauerkraut, apple cider vinegar)
Healthy Fats (avocado, nuts, seeds)
Vitamin B Foods (brussels sprouts, lentils, asparagus)
Adaptogens (turmeric, ashwagandha, moringa)
