Are you moving enough?

As we age, we tend to move less.

And with that, comes a whole range of potential health issues.

Movement is so important as we age. But we don't need to do hours and hours every day. You can add lots of incidental exercise into your day by doing "exercise snacks".  For example, as you brush your teeth each morning, do a bunch of squats. Or instead of driving to the shops to get milk, walk or ride your bike. Or do a few pushups on a park bench as you're taking the dog for a walk. It all adds up.

If you've been on social media lately, you may have noticed that lots of people are talking about how taking a 10 minute walk after a meal makes a huge impact on your blood sugar. It encourages your muscles to use glucose, thereby lowering the sugar in the blood.

So tonight after dinner, get out there and go for a 10 minute walk around the block! It's so much healthier than sitting in front of the TV.

Lots of love
