What to look for when buying protein powder
As you know, for us women over 50, getting enough protein every day is super important.
I aim to get at least 100g of protein every day. But sometimes it can be difficult to physically eat this amount.
That’s where protein powder can be really useful.
Protein powder is a versatile item to have in your pantry, to use in smoothies, and to add to things like yoghurt, pancakes, chia puddings and so on.
But not all protein powders are made equal.
What to look for when buying a powder:
One that’s made from all whole food ingredients, with no artificial anything
One that is at least 20-25g per serve
One that is vegan and made from plant protein
One that is versatile and can be used in cooking
One that smells and tastes nice, otherwise you won’t drink it
One that has additional vitamins and minerals
One that’s low in sugar, so that you can add your own fruit
One that is made by a reputable company
I use and promote the Arbonne brand of protein. I have done for years.
