Do you play racquet sports?

People who play racquet sports live longer than everybody else*.

Whether it's tennis, pickle ball, badminton or table tennis, they all require a great deal of coordination, fast reflexes, and having to make quick decisions on the court.

When playing racquet sports, you need to use your whole brain. You need to be able to judge where the ball is going, how it's moving in place. You need to think how you are going to respond, what shot you're going to play. You need  to use your aerobic system, and your brain at the same time.

I took up tennis a few years ago when my daughter and I started playing in a women's competition on the weekends. From there I became quite obsessed with the game. I started taking weekly lessons (which I'm still doing today), and finding more groups to play with. I just love it.  Aside from the physical benefits, it's also a great social outlet.

Are you a tennis player? Maybe it's time you had a bash?
